Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.
Get started now by creating a new collection.
yeah
python new test framework is required. updated in this fork
@fran496: no, but they're iterable objects that support indices, just like lists - except every element in a string is a single character. This means most of the syntax elements that can be used on lists can be used on strings as well.
except for mutating elements, you can do that with lists but not with strings
the kata specifies you don't have to deal with those
Finally got a top answer ass well :)
So simple, I managed to figure out that a regex would work but the experience really plays a role here, great job. Teahcing us all a lot.
I'm confused as to why it knows c represents characters in the strings
I had no idead at all how to solve it, lol
me too... good :D
zero readability. cramming too much functionality into a single line can sometimes sacrifice readability and maintainability of the code. 0/10
its not clear from the description how to deal with captial letters, or characters that are not in the alphabet. Does this kata follow the same conventios as the linked kata? I.e., does the key index increase for characters that are not in the alphabet?
It's about writing a piece of code that solves a specified problem, and it's about having fun. Don't get surly because other people found a more clever way to solve the problem than you did, it makes you look petty.
Ah yes this is about patterns and solving a mathematical puzzle, not coding. Sure. Go back to Mensa.org.
It's very easy to observe. I would expect someone who passed grade 7 maths to be able to figure it out.
You will only know this if you major in Math.
