This one was cool for me, but I don't think it should be 8kyu.
One 8kyu kata is string concatenation and next one is prototyping, hmmmmm
I have used array.filter before. But I just started so would someone please explain this kata and the solution for those new to programming?
I would like to learn something from this but the solutions are not clear to me.
it's very confusing as for 8kyu
This comment is hidden because it contains spoiler information about the solution
The range of difficulty of 8kyu problems is very wide. That being said I liked this problem. 8kyu though? Hmm...
No random tests.
I think that a kyu 8 kata shouldn't mess with the language itself as a rule.
(I would deprecate it.)

'Looks like you've solved it'
nice but not clear enough
please add more explanation so we can understand whate do you want
So... the explanation is shallow and its hard to understand. You definitely have to read it carefully a few times having the given assertion as a supplement. Please, don't focus on the hardcoded "3" value, it's misleading. Keep in mind that filter requires a callback function which is being run on every element in the array.
Explanation is confusing. I would never come up with the soltuion until i understood what was been asked.
I liked this, but it's probably harder than 8 kyu for most people
