Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

I believe it's an old bug that those two averages can end up out-of-sync. That's probably why menders have a "Check" button that appears in the Details sections of some katas. I tried to use it for this one, but I get a 400 bad request response from the server; maybe it only works for kata that are still in Beta

A fully exhaustive list of all colour names is a fools errand, so some cutoff for obscure colour names is sensible.
But the current list doesn't even contain
Orange. Why does the details panel show that the average voted rank was 6-kyu when that clearly isn't the case according to the assessed-ranks, I wonder?
https://www.codewars.com/api/v1/code-challenges/58235a167a8cb37e1a0000db/assessed-ranks agrees with you. I have no idea why it was approved at 6. But reranking requires admin attention ( not mod, admin ), has no priority, and would actually cost you points.
Enjoy the cheap points?
They're currently drawn randomly from a non-negligible list of real colours. Randomly generating them means they're no longer colours.
Did the hardcoded solution offend you that much? :D
Closing.
Interesting kata, congratulations.
