No, explanation made no sense at all. It should be in the description that no.1 would shout either the color of his hat, or "Not sure!"
Only then it's solvable. I could only solve it by looking at the test-cases. No other way.

Well, you have 0, which is cubic, so the sum of all cubic numbers is 0 (the 2nd zero) and then 'Lucky' because there is one cubic number.

I could be wrong in remembering what this kata expects, though.

Zero is not positive.

The problem was that this kata didn't contain the formula, for a long time. Which means that this basic kata required you to look up a formula to solve it. That's not a programming problem.
