You should consider adding randomized tests.
thanks man for helping me ;-)
Since this kata specifically tells you to not just compare the day, it should have tests that include date objects from different timezones so that you can experience that 10 pm in the given object might be past midnight, i.e. the next day in your timezone. Most answers just compare the day and still pass.
On the other hand, then ve are not talking 8th kyu anymore...
I absolutely agree. As a beginner I had no idea what author wants me to do in this Kata and where data of the current day is stored for comparison.
Even after visiting your link i still had no idea how much in depth author wanted to go into comparison (hours? milliseconds since 1970?) given his statement that comparison should not be limited to day.
groovy translation submitted!
Also I changed the description weather -> whether as noted by other comments below.
The final hint seems enough to deduce the grid.
Very much agree. Especially clarifying what specifically we're asking the coder to verify in terms of "date is today or not"
Also referring to something specific like the date object, which I'd recommend a link to, at the minimum:
Please change the spelling of the word 'weather' to 'whether'. It will confuse people.
I think with this being a level 8, it should have a little more of a description/helpful text as to if you're looking for something specific. I have a lot of newbie friends that get on here and get stuck on simple stuff like this and then quit. Personal opinion! Thanks for the consideration.
What is the tap code specification? How are the alphabet mapped to the tap code?
Please add this to the description.
If you think it's a spoiler - please email it to me. firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi. I'm kinda stuck with your kata. Could you encrypte "click" for me? Thanks.
FYI - there are some minor typos in the Kata description
Lindsor, this kata needs more test cases, e.g. for every day of the week (not today)
