Thanks for updating the katas test cases @alaindev! I enjoyed this kata and learned a few different (and better!) ways to solve this problem from your solution and a couple others.

Very similar to this kata: http://www.codewars.com/kata/checkered-board and almost duplicate of this one: http://www.codewars.com/kata/draw-me-a-chessboard

Furthermore:

• the description mentions "printing" multiple times, although you should "return" the compiled board -- please update
• consider adding a few more test cases (e.g. 8x8, 0x0)
