Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

Why? I can edit existing katas, and no one needs to approve my edits. It's instantaneous, and that's normal.
I'm not saying that there should be no reviews. I'm saying that the current rules make it too cumbersome to approve and translate katas. At the same time, the rules make it super easy to edit existing katas. Which is great! But that makes the very restrictive rules for other tasks look even sillier.
Sure, there are thousands of katas. Many are repetitive and boring, many are OK, and some are great. The problem is that I see so many great katas that are in beta forever, and so many translations of great katas that never get approved. Why?
Yes, because we create it. According to https://getlatka.com/companies/codewars, Codewars makes about US$ 1,000,000 revenue per year. Nothing wrong with that, and it's not a lot anyway, but it's because of the katas we create, translate and maintain.
It's definitely useful to complain! Otherwise, how should the people who define the rules find out what does and doesn't work well?
But I agree that it's not very useful to complain here where hardly anyone sees it. I'll take my suggestions somewhere the relevant people will notice them.
